Eduardo Sallum Filho was born and raised in Curitiba, a very European city and the headquarters of Brazilian modern and instrumental music.

José Juca Ferreira taught Eduardo his first grooves on drums
when he was 12 years old. At 13 he was already playing professionally with Marca Registrada and Blindagem. In 1991 Eduardo Sallum, Mário Conde, Hélio Brandão, Jeff Sabbag, Raul Valente and Glauco Solter formed the group Jam. A well-known instrumental group in south Brazil.

In 1994 as a drummer and composer he formed with Rafael Moreira
(Pink, Cristina Aguilera), Tiago Brizola and Fabricio Domingues the group Nospheratu. They released the CD “Nospheratu” in US and Japan (www.rafaelmoreira.com). In 2002 he Released “Safira” (Saul Trumpet Award - Album of The Year) featuring Murillo da Rós, Rogéria Holz, Ana Cascardo, Paulo Bettega and Juan Tomás Alvarez.

In 2005 Eduardo and César dos Reis produced and recorded “Nagual” with Rodrigo Vivás, Luciano Cordoni, Emerson Antoniacomi, Silmara Nascimento, Mário Conde and Rafael Moreira. He also released the CD “Safira Chill Out” in 2006 with Paulo Guimarães (www.paulsampler.com).

Eduardo Sallum has recorded and performed with many artists such as High Coda, Maska Reinert, Weslei Humig, Murillo da Rós, Rogéria Holtz, Banda Tão, Sotak, Fat Cat, Mr. Jack, Ramayana, André Geraissatti, Jorginho Trumpete, Sérgio Machado, Sílvio Ruann, Ezequiel Piaz, Tomatti, Bruno Cardoso, Cândido, Carlos "Polaco" Oliva , Fred Tamgary, Bamamour, Renato Borghetti, Armandinho do Acordeão, Roberto Sion, Edsel Gomes Marcelo Elías, Artur Maia, Mauro Martins, Marcelo Albuquerque , Marily Cury, Pedro Figueiredo, Maurílio "Mascka" Reinert (Out of Phase), among others.
